After-school tutoring
92 children tutored, 9 out of 10 moved up a classOne volunteer, one child, twice a week, homework done, confidence rebuilt.

School failure is not a talent problem. It is a quiet-place-to-work problem, a nobody-to-ask problem, an internet-only-on-a-phone problem.
The need
In the neighbourhoods where we work, one child in four reaches secondary school without mastering the basics. Their parents care as much as any others, they simply cannot buy the private lessons that patch the gap elsewhere.
What we do
- Two evenings a week of one-to-one tutoring, matched by subject and personality
- A quiet room, a working laptop and a printer, the study conditions many homes cannot offer
- Reading clubs for the youngest, exam preparation for the oldest
- A monthly coffee with parents, because school codes are easier to crack together
The impact
92 children followed through the 2024–2025 school year; 9 out of 10 moved up a class, and 14 of our former students came back, as volunteer tutors.
Giving, three ways
Give for this year, or for the next seventy
A donation feeds the year's work; a monthly pledge lets us plan; a bequest builds the endowment that keeps the house standing when everyone here is gone. All three are tax-deductible at 66% (75% up to €1,000 a year when the gift funds food, care or shelter for people in difficulty), and all three are audited.
- The annual gift
- Funds the groceries, the tutoring, the outreach of the current year.
- The monthly pledge
- Predictable income, the difference between reacting and planning.
- Bequests & corporate patronage
- Received by appointment, with your notary or your board. Discretion is the house style.
